Protecting lives and property from fire

2014 IAFC Fire Chief of the Year

Our vision: We are dedicated and committed to being a progressive and attentive community-focused Fire and Rescue service. We work, as a team, to promote health and safety through prevention to those entrusted in our care.

Manchaca Fire/Rescue (MVFD) is the Fire Department which serves the areas just south of the City of Austin to the Travis County boundary line. This includes subdivisions such as Bear Creek, Onion Creek Meadows, the City of San Leanna, and Shady Hollow. Our coverage area includes about 12 square miles and a population of around 17,000.
